Radio Netherlands Worldwide
Since 1947, Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW) has been the Dutch public service broadcaster abroad. Millions of people consider RNW as their independent, unbiased and reliable source of information on developments in the Netherlands, Europe and throughout the world. RNW provides news, background and cultural programmes and reports regularly on transnational issues such as the environment, human rights and international law.

RNW caters to Dutch-speaking audiences abroad and to foreign audiences with limited or no access to free media, for whom RNW makes programmes from a Dutch-European perspective. These are broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week in nine languages: Dutch, English, Spanish, Indonesian, French, Arabic, Papiamento, Sarnami, Hindustani and Portuguese.

Worldwide
Radio Netherlands Worldwide makes programmes, which are broadcast through radio, television and the Internet. We also reach radio audiences via more than 3,000 radio stations with whom we cooperate throughout the world. These include Radio Republik Indonesia, CNN, SBS Australia, USA National Public Radio and hundreds of local FM stations in Africa, Latin America, North America and Asia.

More than 500 journalists, programme makers, presenters, technicians, producers and other staff members with over 30 different nationalities produce daily radio and television broadcasts and various websites. RNW has its own correspondents throughout the world and has offices in Hilversum, Brussels, Madagascar, Benin, Bonaire, Costa Rica, Willemstad, Paramaribo, Warsaw and Amman. More information can be found at www.rnw.nl.

RNW Themes
Every year Radio Netherlands Worldwide chooses several topics that set the journalistic agenda of RNW to a large extent. These themes are programmed by all language departments and can be found in our radio and television programming and also on our web sites. These themes deal with a global issue, have a Dutch link, and they can be implemented cross-media and multimedia.

TV
RNTV
is a division of Radio Netherlands Worldwide. Through international distribution of audio-visual programmes RNTV contributes to the exchange of information on the North European culture in general and the Dutch culture in particular. Next to a reputable range of documentaries, informative series and drama productions, RNTV is able to offer a unique selection of animated short films, for audiences worldwide.

RNW also hosts BVN, the public television station for Dutch speakers abroad. BVN is a collaboration of RNW, the Flemish public network VRT and the Nederlandse Publieke Omroep (Dutch Public Network). BVN broadcasts worldwide via satellite, 24 hours a day, free and uncoded. The RNW radio channels can also be received with the satellite signal BVN. BVN offers 50 percent news, current affairs and documentaries and 50 percent miscellaneous programmes (youth, sports, entertainment, series, movies, drama).

Since Dutch holidaymakers are regularly staying in hotels all over the world, we work together with a network of hotels to enable their guests to watch Dutch television during their stay. BVN is a worldwide free-to-air service (except Southern Africa). This means BVN is free of charge and unencrypted. To receive this free public television channel, the only thing the hotels need is a digital satellite receiver system. If you are interested, please visit our web site: www.bvn.tv

Music
Bringing the music of the Netherlands to international listeners, RNW has become an invaluable resource for radio stations worldwide wishing to learn about new Dutch artists, the rich history of Dutch music and the latest musical innovations. The CD productions, concert series and live events reflect the diverse musical landscape of the Netherlands, such as Classical, Jazz and World. Original radio programmes such as Live! at the Concertgebouw are distributed hosted and ready to air. Coverage of important Dutch music festivals such as North Sea Jazz are recorded annually and distributed for broadcast.
